Natural wood bow fire starter kit

Friction fire starter kit, designed for manual ignition without electricity or fuel. Based on the traditional bow drill technique, this kit brings together the necessary elements to produce an ember from a natural wood mechanical system. Suitable for bushcraft, hiking, and survival activities in natural environments.

Features

Item type: Manual bow drill fire starter kit
Materials: Natural wood, durable cordage
Contents: Bow, spindle, fire board, handhold
System: Mechanical friction ignition
Assembled dimensions: Approximately 40.5 x 8 x 5.5 cm
Weight: Approximately 270 g
Unique natural wood model

Usage

The back-and-forth motion of the bow drives the spindle against the fire board, generating enough heat through friction to form an ember. This ember is then transferred to a nest of dry tinder to produce a flame. This system is suitable for bushcraft practices, survival outings, and outdoor activities requiring autonomous ignition.

Maintenance

Store the kit in a dry place to preserve the properties of the wood and the effectiveness of the cordage. In case of moisture, allow the components to dry completely before use.

Note

Using with dry and suitable tinder is recommended to optimize results. The technique requires progressive familiarization; a few tries may be necessary before regularly obtaining an ember.

It's a learned skill; it doesn't happen overnight.

Nobody produces an ember on their first try. The bow drill technique requires finding the right pressure, the right speed, and the right wood, which takes a few sessions. It's fair to say: buying this kit expecting instant ignition will lead straight to disappointment.

Notre histoire avec ce produit

Friction fire-starting is not a lighter: it requires technique, patience, and a bit of practice before the first ember. That is precisely why we learn it. Complete kit, approximately 270 grams.

✨

Nothing that can break down

A lighter runs out, a match gets wet, an electric fire starter runs out of battery. A bow, a spindle, and a fireboard have nothing that gets used up or runs out. It's the only ignition system that still works after three weeks outdoors.
